Manchester United move 12 points clear at top, prompting William Hill to shift odds.
Manchester United moved 12 points clear of cross-town arch-rival Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League this weekend, and the question all punters will now be asking is how far they can go.
Title, relegation odds
With the premiership seemingly back, William Hill Sportsbook has slashed United's title odds to 1/25, while extending City's to 10/1 - the longest price they have been all season. Five other teams are still quoting odds: Chelsea, 100/1, Tottenham, 200/1, Arsenal, 250/1, and Everton and Liverpool, 1000/1.
In the relegation betting odds, Aston Villa's upset win over West Ham have seen them move out to 5/6 to be playing in the Championship next year. The three relegation favorites, according to William Hill Online, are Queens Park Rangers, 1/6, Reading, 4/9, and Wigan, 4/6.
Betting on Man Utd
With the focus now on the Red Devils, Hill has launched a range of betting options on the different scenarios that could play out at Old Trafford this season. Britain's biggest online bookmaker is offering 2/1 on United winning the league by 16 points or more, and 5/6 on Ryan Giggs scoring for a 24th?consecutive season in 2013/14.
On the question of how many points Man Utd will win the league by, Hill offers the following: 1-5, 7/1, 6-10. 7/4, 11-15, 15/8, 16 or more, 2/1, not win at all, 10/1. Those who correctly predict their season-ending goal difference win a payout at 66/1 odds.
